Employee Engagement Ideas
There are many employee engagement ideas ranging from expensive weird and wacky team building exercises like white water rafting, bungee jumping or tight-rope walking, to low or no cost activities such as a personal letter from a senior director to a key employee, or the CEO going out of their way to give an employee a lift home – and at the same time sharing with them how important they are to the business.
For anybody tasked with the job of finding new employee engagement ideas, they must first ask themselves, ‘What is it I really want to achieve?’ If it is a quick team building boost, then any traditional team building activities would work well.
If it is reinforcing a message then internal communications may be the answer, but if it is creating a workforce of truly passionate, driven and engaged employees who love coming to work each day and are willing to go the extra mile for your customers, not because you ask them to but because they want to, then this requires an altogether different approach.
Truly engaged employees who are proud of their work, who are creative and innovative, and are ambassadors for your company come as a result of managers and leaders creating an environment and culture which employees believe in.
Our proven employee engagement tools and strategies help managers become better man-managers and mentors so they can create an environment in which employees can excel.
