The Origins of Enterprise Leadership

The Enterprise Leadership philosophy was developed out of extensive research into what makes entrepreneurial businesses the high performing rapid growth companies that they are.

In creating the principles of Enterprise Leadership (and the subsequent Enterprise Leader Development Programme) over 50 award-winning, ultra-successful entrepreneurs and business leaders were interviewed and then modelled in order to decode their mindsets and attitudes for consistent, repeatable patterns.

It was from these interviews and extensive further research into high-performing entrepreneurs that we were able to build a model of what makes entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial companies achieve the extraordinary results they do.

From this research we were able to create a framework which ANY company can use to think, act and operate in that entrepreneurial way which will guarantee dramatic and rapid growth.

At the heart of this model is self belief and confidence, and the ability of any entrepreneurial leader to firstly create belief in the team around them, and secondly, to make their customers believe in them and want to buy from them.

Entrepreneurial thinking and acting is the differentiator which drives companies to the number one position.

The reality is that all companies are actually started by entrepreneurs, so all companies at one point in time must have been an entrepreneurial company. It's at that time that companies are at their most creative, innovative and prolific in their growth.

However, with time that entrepreneurial spirit diminishes as the founding entrepreneur steps back from the company, or the company becomes too big and bloated. The company becomes filled with people who think with an employee mindset rather than an entrepreneurial mindset.

It's at this stage that the entrepreneurial spirit is lost, and complacency and inward looking becomes prevalent.

It's from this research and analysis that one clear fact stood out: entrepreneurs are exceptional business leaders. They truly do achieve extraordinary results, often against all odds, and with little or no resources.

It's entrepreneurs who inspire others around them to raise their game to become entreprenuerial employees. These people perhaps are not natural entrepreneurs themselves, but are enthused by the entrepreneur and are inspired to become Enterprise Leaders.

When you fill your company with Enterprise Leaders who think with a customer focused entrepreneurial mindset, rather than employees who think with a traditional employee mindset, what is the result?

When your company has Enterprise Leaders, rather than 'traditional employees' then happy repeat customers, growth and market leadership is never far away.
